Transportation
For homebound seniors, access to transportation can be challenging, particularly when it comes to important medical appointments or grocery shopping. However, getting where they need to go is essential for them to be able to live at home for as long as possible. This service helps our homebound neighbors who may not have access to transportation or who require assistance to attend medical appointments, ensuring they receive the care they need.
Volunteers use their own vehicle for this service. They are trained to accommodate clients who use walkers or light-weight transfer wheelchairs, but they do not provide lifting assistance. Clients must be able to transfer themselves in and out of the volunteer’s vehicle, and full-size wheelchairs cannot be accommodated.
NOTE: Please consult with Case Manager for Dialysis and Chemo requests.
