Reassurance Calling
Reassurance Calling is one of the many services we provide for our clients. It’s important to make sure our aging seniors have access to the support and services they need to thrive at home.
This service provides peace of mind and companionship for seniors living alone.
What is Reassurance Calling?
Our caring volunteers make regular telephone calls to check in with the clients, wish them well for the day. They also provide referrals to other community services if needed and if necessary respond with emergency procedures.
The purpose of reassurance calling is to ensure those who live alone receive regular check-ins from one of our friendly volunteers. These volunteers offer a listening ear as well as provide our aging neighbors with a sense of security and peace of mind, knowing that someone is checking in on them regularly. This also helps to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness among our aging seniors.
The volunteers can also help identify any potential issues that may arise and provide referrals to other community services if needed. They can also help with emergency procedures, if necessary.
How often is Reassurance Calling offered?
Volunteers check in with our clients on a regular basis and depends on the client’s needs.
What is the cost?
Our services are absolutely free. We rely on our team of volunteers and donations to help care for our aging seniors—and the caregivers.
