What You Can Expect at Aging Made Easier

This year’s conference theme is “What You Don’t Know About Getting Older” and will include expert speakers and two rooms full of senior services providers ready to share with you at our conference Resource Fair.

Our Keynote Speaker is Social Gerontologist, Benjamin Surmi, MSG. Benjamin is the Director of Education and Culture for Koelsch Communities where he leads the Koelsch Innovation Lab, guides wellness and culture programming, and pursues highly efficient training for thousands of team members at Koelsch senior living communities in Washington, California, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, and Illinois.

Benjamin’s keynote presentation, titled “Unlocking the Power of Perspective in Aging Gracefully,” will feature examples of area residents who are approaching getting older with a positive attitude and the difference that it is making in their lives.

Our Opening Speaker is Tawnya Williams-Christensen from Fellowship Square who will address the importance of social connection and why it is so integral to our overall health and well-being.

Rounding out our speaker sessions is a panel of experts who will address a variety of subjects under the banner of “What You Can Do Today to Prepare for Your Tomorrow.” Panelists and their topics include the following:

 Who Should Attend This Conference

We all understand that getting older is a natural part of life. We also know that our paths to aging cannot be predicted. But the truth is that, no matter our journey, we are all going to need help at one point or another. That is why we believe that this conference is so valuable.

Aging Made Easier will enlighten you to a variety of senior-focused services and insights that can help alleviate some of the potential challenges that older adults face. At Neighbors Who Care, we believe that we all should “Be Aware and Be Prepared” when it comes to getting older, which is exactly why we present our Aging Made Easier Conference year after year.

Aging Made Easier is appropriate for whatever stage of life you are in. Whether you are currently in the aging process (in reality, aren’t we all?) or a spouse, family member, or friend caring for a loved one, you will come away with some valuable knowledge and resources that you can put into practice now and in the future.

The conference is open to the public, and we welcome attendees from Sun Lakes, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Queen Creek, Ahwatukee, Scottsdale, Phoenix, and surrounding areas. Please join us!
