Community, Connection, and Care with Realtors Who Care

On May 14th, our community came together for an afternoon of laughter, music, and connection at the First Baptist Church during a special event hosted by Realtors Who Care (RWC). They generously provided a delicious lunch of soup and sandwiches, followed by ice cream sandwiches for dessert, the perfect sweet treat to enjoy together.

The entertainment kept the day upbeat thanks to the energy and music of DJ Jamal. Clients enjoyed several lively rounds of music bingo, and some lucky winners even went home with Safeway gift cards.

One of the highlights of the day was when the RWC team got on the dance floor for the Hokey Pokey, creating smiles, laughter, and some clients even joined them on the dance floor!

Events like these are about so much more than food and activities. They are about creating meaningful moments of connection. Without regular social interaction, many aging seniors can experience feelings of loneliness and isolation. Gathering together for a few hours can make a lasting impact.

Before heading home, each client received a thoughtful goody bag filled with small gifts including a plant, back scratcher, head massager, bookmark, and cookies. These simple gifts were a reminder that the realtors in our community care deeply about our seniors.

Transportation to and from the event was provided through the RWC and NWC van services, ensuring everyone who wanted to attend had the opportunity to participate and enjoy the day.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible, from the volunteers and organizers to DJ Jamal and the caring community partners who continue to support our neighbors.

When our community comes together, beautiful things happen.
