Are you hosting a party this year and want all your guests to join in the fun? Often, grandparents and great-grandparents sit off to the side, especially those with cognitive decline, missing out on the lively conversations happening around them. This year, bring everyone together with Memory Lane Bingo — a game that sparks laughter, storytelling, and connection across generations.
Why You’ll Love It:
- Encourages laughter and storytelling
- Brings up fond memories
- Gets everyone — from kids to grandparents — talking and connecting
Here’s What You Need:
- Printed Bingo cards
- A list of prompts (included with your cards)
- Crayons, markers or bingo daubers
- Small prizes or treats (optional)
How to Play:
- One person serves as the caller and reads each prompt from the list, crossing it off as they go.
- Players mark a square on their card if they’ve done the activity or had the experience that’s called.
- When a player gets five squares in a row — vertically, horizontally, or diagonally — they have BINGO! You can keep the game going with a “Blackout” round, where the entire card must be filled to win.
- If you’d like, offer small prizes for each BINGO and invite winners to share a short story about one of the squares they marked.
Memory Lane Bingo is simple, flexible, and fun for every generation. It’s a great way to spark conversation, laughter, and cherished memories that everyone at the party will remember.
